Trainer John Gosden indicated Thursday that his multiple Group 1-winning filly The Fugue will most likely make her next start in the G1 Breeders' Cup Turf.
In an interview with Racing UK, Gosden said that the talented filly, who most recently captured the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes (Ire-I), would be cross-entered in both the Turf and the G1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, the race in which she finished third in last year.
“I will put The Fugue in both the Turf and Filly & Mare Turf, but I'm leaning towards the Turf for her,” Gosden said earlier on Thursday. “She has come out of her Leopardstown race well and the Breeders' Cup will probably be her next race.”
“With the weather as it is she has to be a little iffy for the Arc at this stage.”
