My Miss Aurelia wins Mandy's Gold Stakes at the Spa

My Miss Aurelia will be taking a spring vacation at co-owner Barbara Banke's Florida training center for some rest and veterinary evaluation. Co-owner George Bolton said on Friday that the filly is likely to resume racing this summer.

Although no physical problems have been diagnosed, the 4-year-old has lost her last three races, so Bolton believes she may need a mental break.

“Maybe something is bugging her. We want to get her happy. At this point, she seems healthy,” Bolton told Daily Racing Form.

I was quite upset when my darling “Aurelia” lost last weekend. Maybe she just does not want to race anymore and wants to start having babies. I’ll pray for my lovely Diva and hope there is nothing wrong with her health. P.S. I’m so glad Joyful Victory won her race or I would have been impossible to live with this week.
