After four Triple Crown winners in the 1940′s, it’s remarkable to realize the “golden age” of horse racing saw no horse win all three legs during the 1950′s and the 1960′s.  The 25-year drought, however, ended in 1973 with the most remarkable racing performance in history.

There’s nothing we can say that hasn’t already been said about Secretariat.  So, just enjoy the magic of the 1973 Belmont Stakes.
