Breeders’ Cup Diaries: Records, Fillies and Surprises

This year's Breeders' Cup World Championships seemed to have little star power going into the event, but when all was said and done, there was plenty of it, along with records broken, super-fillies, surprising turns, and a whole lot to talk about. As Breeders' Cup Diaries wraps up from Santa Anita Park, Ray Paulick and Scott Jagow discuss the highlights of a very noteworthy rendition of the World Championships.

I had a wonderful time at the BC; I’ve never had a better time at the races.  I didn’t win any of my seven bets, but that’s o.k.  I spent far too much money at the gift shops, but love everything I bought.  The dumplings at Bling Bling (L.A. food festival) were excellent.  I took about 300 photos and some of them were even good!  To top it all off, some irate Brit called me a “stupid tart” in the parking lot as we were all trying to exit on to Huntington….even though there was no place for me to go.  A great time.  :)
