Although nothing's official just yet, it appears that Kegasus, the half-man, half-horse mascot of the Preakness InfieldFest, will not be part of the 2013 festivities. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the Maryland Jockey Club, which is set to unveil its marketing campaign for this year's Preakness Stakes in the next few weeks, has indicated that Kegasus will likely not be a part of this year's plan.
Tom Chuckas, the president of the MJC, told the BBJ, “I think we're at a different stage with the InfieldFest. I think the brand is much stronger.”
