Donegal Racing President Jerry Crawford announced today that Hall of Fame Jockey Gary Stevens will ride Dullahan in the March 30 Group I Dubai World Cup.

Crawford said, “We are thrilled to have a rider of Gary's caliber. Gary is a great communicator who will work closely with us to make sure Dullahan gets the kind of ride that will make him a winner in Dubai.”

“Of even greater significance is the fact that Donegal and Stevens are working on an agreement to make Gary the rider on all of Donegal's horses for the remainder of 2013 and beyond.” Crawford said. Crawford noted that Donegal has tremendous expectations for their current two year-old crop saying, “We can't imagine anyone better to get our babies started and headed toward Triple Crown 2014.”

Stevens was equally excited about the development saying, “Donegal Racing has become one of the premier and top earning partnerships in America and their confidence in my comeback is very gratifying.”

    Poor Choice…

      Wow, why Jeb?

  • Tinky

The suggestion that he ran up the track in his prep due to a poor ride is hilarious.

    More press release excitement. Snoooooooooze.

I agree with Jeb. That’s an awful long way to travel to get on a horse that has been quite the disappointment.
