Brian Hernandez Jr., has changed his mind and will spend the winter months riding at the Fair Grounds, rather than heading to Gulfstream Park, it was reported Friday at NOLA.com.
After a successful Breeders' Cup, which saw Hernandez pilot Fort Larned to a gutsy victory over Mucho Macho Man in the Classic, Hernandez and his agent, Frank Bernis, planned to give Gulfstream Park a try.
“That's where our main business has been,” Bernis told reporter Katherine Terrell. “We just thought it would be better to stay in Louisiana one more winter and see where things go.”
