Brian Hernandez Jr., has changed his mind and will spend the winter months riding at the Fair Grounds, rather than heading to Gulfstream Park, it was reported Friday at NOLA.com.

After a successful Breeders’ Cup, which saw Hernandez pilot Fort Larned to a gutsy victory over Mucho Macho Man in the Classic, Hernandez and his agent, Frank Bernis, planned to give Gulfstream Park a try.

“That’s where our main business has been,” Bernis told reporter Katherine Terrell. “We just thought it would be better to stay in Louisiana one more winter and see where things go.”

    seems like a really nice young man. this is the correct move. he would be lucky to win ten races at g.p. the question always in a move such as this is where will the mounts come from . the gp. room is overloaded with big name jocks. with rosi8e out of fairgrounds this year he has a shot to win a riding title there.
