As the trainer of three Kentucky Derby winners, Baffert spoke cautiously about the colt's chances in the Run for the Roses, pointing out that the son of Offlee Wild has had a late start with only two outs. He does plan to keep him in California, possibly directed toward the Santa Anita Derby.
When asked about the resemblances to past Derby winner Big Brown, Baffert admitted, “I hope he is that good.”
