In 2012, Fasig-Tipton Texas sale was held during the evening for the first time; it was so successful that officials with the sales company have decided to do the same thing again this year.
The sale, which is scheduled for Aug. 26, will begin at 5 p.m. Central time, according to Tim Boyce, the director of sales. The entry period for the sale has been extended through the first week in July; officials estimate that 100-120 yearlings will go through the sales ring.
Boyce indicated the company had received ‘an influx' of entrants from Oklahoma for this year's edition. He also mentioned that there were several quality yearlings from both Texas and Louisiana.
