The undefeated 3-year-old colt Eastwood, a son of leading sire Speightstown, will be offered at Fasig-Tipton’s July 15th Horses of Racing Sale at Newtown Paddocks by Lexington-based Thoroughbred agent Chris Baccari. The horses of racing age will be offered immediately following the selected yearlings of The July Sale.

An impressive winner at Belmont Park in his first start on May 27, 2013, against 12 rivals, Eastwood followed up with another solid win at Belmont against older horses on June 29.

Owner Chris Baccari stated, “This new sale at Fasig-Tipton provides the perfect opportunity to showcase an outstanding racing prospect like Eastwood. He is training very well and provides exciting stakes options. Both the G2 Amsterdam at Saratoga at 6 furlongs and the G1 King’s Bishop at 7 furlongs were options for us there, but he will compete at the highest levels wherever a buyer would like him to run.”

Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning added, “Eastwood is a great addition to our catalogue. In his last start, Eastwood ran a 5 on the Ragozin sheets and earned a Beyer speed figure of 93. These numbers are sure to attract the attention of the professionals in our industry and hint at the potential for this talented colt.”

Past performances, race replays, Ragozin numbers, analysis by Mike Watchmaker and pedigree information for Eastwood are available on the Fasig-Tipton website or by clicking here.
