Even as yearlings and horses-of-racing age settle into their stalls at Newtown Paddocks for the imminent July 15th sale in Lexington, internet technology has allowed for two more graded stakes mares to be added to the Horses of Racing Age session of the day.

Hip number 386 is Dr. Diamond’s Prize, who comes off two stakes starts in June. By the sire of Pure Clan and from the family of Affirmed, this mare is a stakes-winner and grade 2-placed earner of nearly $241,000.

Hip number 387 is Silver Screamer, who had a troubled run on July 4 in a Belmont grass stake against G1 females. She is a grade 3 stakes-winning daughter of champion sire Cozzene, with earnings of $314,245.

The 87 entries in the Horses of Racing Age session of the sale will be offered immediately after the conclusion of the session of 258 selected yearlings, which begins at 10:00 a.m.
