Safety Check (Ire) (Dubawi x Doors To Manual, by Royal Academy), a dual winner of both the G2 Al Fahidi Fort and G2 Zabeel Mile for Godolphin, has been retired from racing to stand at stud in Argentina.

Diego Mitagstein, of Turf Diario and Heritage Bloodstock, handled the deal for the purchaser, Diego Franceschini's Heritage Stud.

The six-year-old son of Dubawi won ten of his 25 starts, and was praised by trainer Charlie Appleby as “a brilliant racehorse to train”.

“He excelled over seven furlongs and one mile and ran some exceptional races against strong opposition,” he added.

“To win four stakes races, including both the Al Fahidi Fort and Zabeel Mile twice is an indication of how good he was on the racecourse. But he was also ultra-consistent, finishing in the first three in 16 of his 25 starts.

Safety Check is out of the unraced Royal Academy mare Doors To Manual, a half-sister to Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner Marchand De Sable.
