Mission Approved, winner of the 2011 Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Manhattan Handicap, has been retired from racing, according to the Blood-Horse.

The 9-year-old son of With Approval is scheduled to be sold at the Keeneland January Mixed sale.

Mission Approved was claimed in 2010 by Naipaul Chatterpaul; that summer he ran second to champion Gio Ponti in the G1 Man o’ War Stakes. The following year, he won the Manhattan.

Mission Approved has lifetime earnings of $827,210 with eight wins, five seconds, and one third from 29 starts.
