The first reported foal by Graded stakes winner Trappe Shot is a colt born January 15 at Blackstone Farm near Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.

Bred by the farm, the colt is the first foal out of the stakes-placed Broken Vow mare, Return the Jewel. By the G1 SW Tapit, a son of the late Claiborne stallion Pulpit, Trappe Shot won the True North H.-G2 by 8 1/2 lengths and finished runner-up in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt H.-G1 (by a nose) and the Haskell Invitational S.-G1.
