Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 258 selected yearlings for The July Sale, which will be held in Lexington, Kentucky, on Monday, July 15th. The 2013 catalogue may now be viewed at Fasig-Tipton's website (www.fasigtipton.com) and will be available from the company's offices in Kentucky, New York, Maryland and Texas from June 17.
“The theme for July is Right Time, Right Horse, Right Result and our yearlings continue to support those claims,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “Racing performance is the ultimate measurement of a sale and data from The Blood-Horse's MarketWatch shows grads from July lead all North American auctions in several major performance categories. Prospective buyers will find the same physical type of yearling our selection team has focused on so productively in recent years. We are equally excited about the quality of pedigrees and the sires represented in the 2013 catalogue.”
Sales graduates on this year's catalogue cover promote the diversity of the sale. High-profile females like Lady of Shamrock, Include Me Out and Summer Applause share the stage with proven older males and grade 1 winners Flat Out and Camp Victory. There are winners from East and West Coasts, tough performers like Bourbon Courage and a classic contender in the good three-year-old Vyjack.
“We are also excited about the inaugural Summer Horses of Racing Age Sale, which will immediately follow The July Sale. The horses accepted to date will create additional interest on July 15 and will prove a valuable attraction for both buyers and sellers, ” Browning added.
