Calumet adds champion Eye of the Leopard to stallion roster
Calumet Farm has added Eye of the Leopard to its growing roster of stallions. The 7-year-old horse will stand for $10,000 this season.
The son of A.P. Indy won the Queen’s Plate in 2009 on his way to being named Canadian champion 3-year-old male that season. Originally raced by his breeder, Sam-Son Farm, Eye of the Leopard compiled a record of 5-3-3 from 24 starts and earned $920,517.
Eye of the Leopard is out of Canadian champion Eye of the Sphinx, and is a full brother to multiple stakes winner Hotep. Brad Kelley’s Bluegrass Hall LLC purchased Eye of the Leopard late last year.
