Rajiv Maragh gets congratulated after Wicked Strong wins the Wood Memorial Rajiv Maragh gets congratulated after Wicked Strong wins the Wood Memorial

Spring officially arrived over the weekend with the start of Keeneland’s spring meet. Saturday’s race card showcased 3-year-old fillies in the Grade 1 Central Bank Ashland Stakes, and fans couldn’t ask for a better result – a dead heat for the win, between Rosalind and Room Service.

Not to be left out, 3-year-old colts were in the spotlight at both Aqueduct and Santa Anita, as both racetracks held major prep races for the Kentucky Derby. In New York, Wicked Strong charged to victory to take the G1 Wood Memorial, while out in California, the flashy California Chrome stamped his ticket to Louisville with a dominating win in the G1 Santa Anita Derby.
