This is a sad display of how racing treats customers. I only wish I could say I was even a little surprised.

Beckett, wacky as he was, could not imagine the Racing Task Force on Integrity. It goes beyond the absurd. Where is the integrity of the members who lacked the good manners to tell the Chairman they would not attend. What is wrong with a Chairman who does not have the sense to close a meeting when it became obvious there would not be a quorum?

If any proposals are made as a result of that fiasco, sad fact is nothing can stop an absentee from voting on the matter.

Watch carefully the TRPB. It is safely under control of The Jockey Club. It will not tattoo a horse unless the name has been approved by TJC.

The guys with the difficult names should be aware their product will never be accepted.
The Jockey Club has a monopoly franchise on everything at the track.

the owners of race tracks all over america are so out of touch with their customers.
they are still operating like we were still in the 1960s.
there are a lot of other choices where to spend your money. so why would anyone want to go to
the races and get treated so badlly.

KENTUCKY’S RACING TASK FORCE ON INTEGRITY is an insult to me as a race fan and a citizen of Kentucky. I agree with Tomasin, names need to be named and follow up action needs to be taken. I hope that the PR follows up with statements from each industry leader to what their opinion is.

I hope this forum is able to turn into something more than just quality reporting of the large reservoir of uncovered news, emphasis on breaking the big story and by tapping into the talented army of on-line contributors.” If it doesn’t it will be like banging my head against a brick wall if I continue to read it.

Now that this has been reported, what is the next step?

Ray,

Please list who was there and who wasn't - they can't get a damn quorum? Shows the lack of seriousness in tackling the issues.

The fact that they can't even get organized enough to have a quorom speaks volumes about their potential for making any kind of significant difference. Reading this reminds me of how I felt after reading Waiting for Godot. I never enjoyed the theatre of the absurd when it was fiction. I enjoy it much less as reality.

Typical political banter....the real bridge to nowhere and the industry - like Rome - is burning.
