KILL PEN OWNER TESTIFIES TO TAKING PARAGALLO’S HORSES
As the Paragallo case continues to be tried, the case against the New York owner continues to mount. Donald Nickerson, who buys horses and has them transported to a slaughterhouse in Canada, admitted to taking some of Paragallo’s horses up north.
He described the condition of horses as weighing 800-900 pounds although "they had a 1,300 or 1,400-pound framework. They were so emaciated that he nearly told the driver to take them back.
Horses that are too bad off for a kill pen owner? That’s what Nickerson seems to be claiming.

Heartbreaking, that’s all I can say. Hope he goes to prison as a fine would be pretty meaningless to him.

“I f—ed up. I’m not denying it. If they want to lock me up, maybe they should. Whether it’s my fault or not…” I really hope Paragallo gets his wish! Just plain sad what happened to these horses…

Heres an idea…..why doesn’t Paragallo donate his season income for Unbridleds Song to a retirement rescue? I know that’s asking too much…but somehow he should be made to PAY something for what he’s done and sitting in a jail won’t help ANY HORSE….
I hope the prosecutors can get creative. What about pressure on Taylor Made? Any word from Duncan Taylor about one of their “best” clients? I think not.

If this guy is guilty of what is being stated of doing to these poor innocent horses & animals….I hope that he is starved & malnourished…..IF you treat an animal cruelly…the you deserve any&all punishment thrown to you!!!…I am a owner/breeder of TB racehorses…& I treat them with love, respect, & care as they should be treated. These TBs grow up to race for me..and give their all so I can earn an income People should be in this business because they LOVE the business of horses…why be cruel to an animal????..

I can’t help but the see the irony in the fact that the Foaltrack ad is displayed asking “want to know what happens to your favorite horse after the sale?”
Yes, does anyone really want to know? REALLY? Let’s just hope it wasn’t bought by Paragallo or somebody like him.

Great! Can we starve you for 6 months first, put you in an overloaded, crammed trailer, ship you for three days without food or water, then put you in an ill-designed chute and use a “first or second try” captive bolt gun to do it?

I vote for New Horizons’ idea. The guy should get exactly what he gave his horses.
