EAST/WEST RIVALRY HALTS WITH A CHARITY HALTER
East vs. West rivalry? Not when it comes to charity. A halter from West Coast-sensation Zenyatta, the unbeaten two-time champion, is currently being auctioned off on Ebay to benefit the Belmont Child Care Association. The halter was worn at Santa Anita by Zenyatta, who has yet to race in New York. But that’s not preventing her fame from helping out the children of racetrack employees at the New York Racing Association tracks.

Nice gesture on their part considering the East Coast turfwriters and some gamblers are so eager to critisize her every move etc. They could have snubbed their noses on this halter for charity since one was just auctioned off in CA, but that is not their nature. They are always there for the cause. In this case, children. Team Zenyatta a class act.
