120 QUESTIONS
As new and old potential bidders for the Aqueduct racino project line up, over 120 questions were submitted from five different entities all vying for the proposed slots parlor in New York City. Only Penn National Gaming admitted to being one of the five submitting questions.

According to the new RFP, bidders must submit a refundable $1 million entry fee
by June 1 to participate in the bidding. All proposals are due by June 29 and bidders
are required to make a minimum $300 million upfront payment.
A bit of daydreaming:
Imagine if that $300 million was not going to Albany but to The NYRA.
How they could sell Aqueduct in favor of a spankin’ brand new racino
at a more accessible and aesthetically pleasing site in lower New York.
On top of that they’d be able to put on their own Million Dollar-a-day-meet
and reclaim their position as the preeminent leader in the thoroughbred racing industry.
NY racing has been held hostage and those involved in the industry need to make a stand.
Accepting band-aid solutions applied on top of aging bandages may stop the bleeding
but won’t heal the wounds.
